Finding something Beautiful

It's been a while. So much has happened since I last wrote. My sister passed away 4 months ago.  She was hit by a train, in a terrible terrible accident, along with her two best friends. It started out as a normal night. The three girls were going to take pictures. My mom and dad and I were at home, with my friend Ben.  We were eating Pizza, laughing my parents were about to leave. And we got a call from our panicked neighbor. She said three boys had been hit by a train. We knew better.
That night was terrible, awful, painfully harsh and bitter.  It was something I would never want to experience again, or ever put it on someone else. Ever.
I miss her. We are healing. But I know she is with her Heavenly Father and her two best friends. I know she is happy. I've had some incredible experiences and I know without a doubt she is doing well and that I get to see her again soon, if I press forward in faith and righteousness. She is beautiful, and incredible, and I wish I would've been better at realizing her for everything she was while she was here. Really, never take anyone for granted.

She loved everybody. She had the biggest, most stunning smile I've ever seen. She was a free spirit, a friend to everybody.  She is caring, she is amazing, she is strong, she is funny.  And she always wore mismatched converse shoes:) I miss her more than anything in the world.  And I can't wait until the glorious day when we meet again.

I'm trying to be better. More caring, more sympathetic, more motivated(like she is.) It comes in waves. Sometimes I do okay, sometimes it hits me hard.  And I'm realizing slowly that it's all real; it's really sinking in. But I'm okay. I'm so thankful for my family, for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and for the opportunity to have eternal families.

I've learned that figuring life out is almost impossible; you can't ever figure it all out. And life... it doesn't get easier. But everything will work out in time.

A dear, dear friend of mine last night told me something wise.  He said, "M'Leah, it will all be okay. It is going to work out. Every little thing will work out." I have faith that it will. I'm learning to see the beautiful in the hardest time of my life.
